The end of the universe - The big crunch.

The Qur'an had mentioned many things related to the creation of the universe which I discussed in the previous parts. Qur'an also makes it clear that there is an end to this universe. Today, there is no doubt in the scientific community that there will be an end to this universe. The scientists postulated different perspectives about how the universe will end.  Theories about the end of the universe are 1.Big Freeze or heat death 2.Big Rip 3.Big Crunch 4.Big Bounce 5.Big Slurp 6.Cosmic uncertainty According to today's scientific conclusions, the scientific community is considering the first possibility of a big freeze or heat death. The Big Freeze is a state in which all the stars in the ever-expanding universe burn up, leaving only black holes which emit Hawking radiations and eventually disappear and the universe reaching absolute zero temperature.  The Big Crunch is another possibility that the scientific community is discussing. Creation of the universe in the Qur'an Part 6  ------------------------------------------------------------------ In 1912 Scientist Vesto Slipher discovered that light from distant galaxies undergoes a redshift. In 1922 Alexander Friedman, formulated a theory that the universe was expanding, governed by a set of equations he developed now known as the Friedmann equations. The same theory was stated by the scientist George Lemaitre in 1927 from some other observations. Two years later, in 1929, scientist Edwin P Hubble confirmed this theory, that the universe is expanding by astronomical observations. Today, through numerous observations, the scientific community have unequivocally accepted the fact that the universe is expanding. Shape of universe is flat !

From the Qur'an's statement, that the 7 different universes are stacked one on top of the other, we can understand that the shape of the universes explained by the Qur'an is flat. All the observational experiments known today prove that the universe is flat. Observations by NASA's Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP), the BOOMERanG experiment (Balloon Observations of Millimetric Extragalactic Radiation and Geophysics, and the European Space Agency's Planck space observatory have all proved that the universe is flat. We need to understand that all these observations took place after AD 2000. Multiverse concept is explained in Qur'an

In the previous parts 1-3 we have seen the scientific facts like the creation of the universe out of nothing- the big bang, the concept of the whole universe was joined together in the initial stage and the universe was in the state of a smoke or fog in the beginning from which the stars began to form. Creation of the universe in the Qur'an - Part 3. The dark smoke of the primordial universe is mentioned in the Qur'an.

The Big Bang is only the first step in the creation of the universe. After the Big bang, space is created, time has begun and the matter is created. After the Big bang, the universe expanded exponentially in a very, very small fraction of a second. This phenomenon, known as inflation, occurred much faster than the speed of light. The space itself expanded and reached the size of a golf ball in just 10-34 (10 raised to -34) seconds from nothing. In the first second after the Big Bang, the entire universe was filled with subatomic particles such as neutrons, protons, electrons, anti-electrons, and neutrinos.  Within the first minutes of the Big Bang, subatomic particles - neutrons and protons joined together to form the nucleus of atoms. The nuclei of deuterium, tritium, helium, and lithium   began to form. This is known as the Big Bang nucleo synthesis. Creation of the universe. Part 2. Heavens and earth were joined together at the beginning.

In part 1 we explained the creation of the universe began from nothing.  بَدِيعُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًۭا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: When He decreeth a matter, He saith to it: "Be", and it is. (Surat:2, Verse:117) This is the basic concept of big bang theory- The universe is created from nothingness. The universe is not eternal, it has a beginning and it has an age. Latest scientific evidences says that the age of the universe is around 13.8 billion years.  In just 10-34 seconds (10 raised to -34) the primordial universe was the size of a golf ball. It expanded rapidly and formed sub-atomic particles. Creation of the universe. Part1.The big bang explained in the holy Quran. The universe is not eternal; it is created.

  Holy Qur'an is the words of Allah, the Creator of the universe, as a guidance to the mankind. The Holy Qur'an is the last among the holy books, revealed to the last Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him). The Qur'an has existed without any change for more than fourteen hundred years. The Holy Qur'an teaches that only Allah, the Lord of the worlds, is to be worshiped, it gives glad tidings to those who believe and do good deeds about the Paradise and warn the transgressors about the Hell. Qur'an is neither a science textbook nor is it meant to teach us science. But, since the Qur'an was revealed by Allah, the Lord of the worlds, there can be no scientific error in it.
